Luty-marzec to 67 rocznica walk o Pomorze. Wiosna 1945 roku przyniosła zagładę starego świata Żuław, Prus, Pomorza Gdańskiego. Dzisiaj odkrywamy tamte historie na nowo, co jest fascynujące, ale i niestety bolesne.

Opis zdjęć: młody żołnierz, mogący być jednym z pośpiesznie rekrutowanych do obrony Elbinga, Danziga, Zoppotu czy dowolnego innego miejsca. Ma na sobie bluzę Wehrmachtu (wojska pancerne), ale czapkę Luftwaffe, co jest efektem braków w sortach mundurowych. Po prostu noszona to, co było pod ręką, co często wiązało się z koniecznością kradzieży ubrań cywilom czy ściąganiu ich z trupów.
Uzbrojeniem jest karabinek szturmowy StG 44 i pistolet Luger P08 Parabellum. Żołnierz nosi Krzyż Żelazny II klasy. Być może dostał go za zasług w walce. Może dostał go w celu podwyższenia morali. Albo może to order jakiegoś poległego.
